Props Office Assistant Buyer

We’re recruiting a Props Office Assistant Buyer to join us on a 12-month FTC.

The Props Office Assistant Buyer holds responsibility for ensuring that all props are organised and stored safely when they come off stage at the end of a run. As directed by the Prop Buyer/Coordinator, the position also researches, locates and purchases items required by the Props Department.

We’re looking for candidates with some backstage experience in fields like Stage Management, Prop Buying, or Petty Cash Buying, with a keen interest in and ability to research furniture and interior design throughout the ages.  Some knowledge of suppliers, markets, and relevant retailers is beneficial, as is the ability to work under minimal supervision and react quickly to the changing needs of a busy team.
