We are looking for an Editor to join the National Theatre Digital Team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

The National Theatre’s Production & Content team within the Digital Department is responsible for content development, production and delivery to meet the organisation's broad-ranging needs. This includes live cinema broadcast (NT Live), our subscription video platform (National Theatre at Home), digital originals and content that supports the work of the National Theatre’s Marketing, Learning, Development and Comms teams, amongst others.

The Editor’s key responsibility is to edit bold, considered and premium work across all points of output. The role requires creative instincts and ability to tell captivating stories through video, and an exacting eye for standards and narrative in the edit. The Editor will play an active role in contributing to the ongoing development of ideas and rollout of new work styles, as well as supporting delivery and exports of content for a diverse range of outputs and resolutions.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Professional-level skills with Adobe Premiere
  • Experience working in a range of professional post-production environments and/or teams
  • A demonstrable ability to tell stories through dynamic and refined video editing
  • Awareness of industry standard media types, codecs, best practice and have the confidence to advise on and decipher technical specifications
  • Ability to thrive independently on projects
