We are recruiting for a Apprentice Archive Assistant to join us at the National Theatre

The NT Archive aims to actively document and preserve the history of the National Theatre and its ongoing activities while interpreting and sharing that history widely. The Archive team collaborates with departments across the NT to ensure that records are transferred and are as accessible to internal and external stakeholders as possible

The Apprentice Archivist Assistant will support the work of the Head of Archive in providing access to the Archive collection for both NT staff and external researchers. This access can be provided via physical access to materials held in the collection, online catalogues or virtual collections.

They will support the records management, cataloguing, outreach and project work of the Archive. They will learn how to manage the NT Archive volunteer programme, which will become their responsibility when appropriate, and they will invigilate the research room on a daily basis.
