We are looking for a Lighting Control Technician (Grade 4) to join the National Theatre Lighting Team.

The emphasis of this role is towards the lighting control equipment and infrastructure within the National Theatre’s Lighting Department. The role works alongside and in support of the Senior Lighting Technicians (Programmer Bias) and Senior Lighting Control Technicians. It involves close liaison with the Lighting Operational teams within the department.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

 

  • A proven ability to operate and programme ETC Apex Family consoles to an advanced standard with automated fixtures and LED fixtures.
  • Experience in or the willingness to learn about auxiliary control systems, such as tracking software and integration with automation systems.
  • Experience of ETC systems beyond theatrical lighting control, such as Paradigm and Mosaic.
  • Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • An understanding of lighting control networks, with multi-console environments, multiple users and multiple partitions.
