We are looking for a Props Office Assistant Buyer to join our Workshops Team.
The purpose of the Technical Department, which the Workshops Team is a part of, is to create and run performances to the highest standards through a partnership with creative teams, which achieves their artistic vision within the agreed schedules and budgets. The Scenic Construction, Props, and Drawing Office departments are made up of 45 permanent staff, although this can increase with Fixed Term Contract and Casual staff in busy periods.
The successful candidate will work to support the smooth running of the Props Department. This includes undertaking show based work as well as non-show work alongside Senior Props Supervisors, Props Supervisors, and Props Buyers.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Some backstage experience (in a Props team, in a Stage Management team or in a Production based role)
Experience of working within a small team, showing initiative and being able to respond to changes
Good attention to detail and record keeping
Confidence with cash handling and inputting financial data
Awareness and interest in Sustainability with the industry
