The National Theatre is now looking to recruit a Publishing Assistant to join our Publications Department.
National Theatre Publishing is responsible for the National Theatre’s publications in both print and digital formats. We produce programmes for all productions, as well as associated Learning and Access materials. Our programmes are renowned for the high quality of their editorial content, which set the plays in context, offering the audience information that will enhance their experience.
The department also oversees the publication of an award-winning range of National Theatre books for both children and adults and maintains the National Theatre’s written standards by offering editorial support to other departments across the organisation.
The purpose of this role is to support the Publishing department in all aspects of its work, to assist in the creation and proofing of National Theatre programmes and other publications, and to maintain general office administration.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Strong English language skills, particularly written English.
- Meticulous proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
