We are looking for a Stage Manager for Hadestown.

Hadestown, the acclaimed Broadway musical phenomenon by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin, made its long-awaited West End premiere in February 2024 at the Lyric Theatre. ‘An epic celebration of music, togetherness and hope’ (Forbes). Hadestown is the winner of 8 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theatre Album. 

Venue: Lyric Theatre 

The Stage Manager will work collaboratively to lead the Stage Management department alongside other technical teams to support the creative team and company to facilitate and manage the realisation of the technical elements of Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre. Together with the rest of the company, the Stage Manager will uphold a commitment to diversity and inclusion and will endeavour to create and maintain a working atmosphere, in rehearsal sessions and during performance, where all feel supported and empowered to deliver their best work.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Extensive Stage Manager (or Technical Stage Manager) experience on a large-scale West End production or equivalent 
  • Awareness of current Health & Safety legislation 
  • Proactive and energetic, able to work with commitment and dedication to find solutions 
  • Awareness of the latest techniques and relevant regulations as applied to the preparation and staging of major productions in the West End, and with a demonstrable record in the supervision of productions at the highest artistic and technical level 
  • Able to demonstrate administrative efficiency, excellent focus and organisational skills, in particular being numerate and computer literate
