We are looking for an Assistant Stage Manager to join the National Theatre People Producing Team.

 

Purpose of the role:

The Assistant Stage Manager will be joining the permanent Stage Management department. They will be required to work across all three NT Theatres, The NT Studio, NT Learning, and any other site-specific work. They will assist the Company Stage Manager of their allocated productions in collaborating with the Artistic Team, Acting Company & National Theatre Production & Technical departments to achieve the artistic concept of the production with-in the agreed parameters to a high standard.

 

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Experience in professional theatre, arts, or entertainment environment.
  • A degree or similar qualification in Stage Management or Technical Theatre; or a proven record of practical stage management, production, or technical experience.
  • To have an organised and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • An understanding, awareness and experience of the Stage Management and technical demands of a production creation process.
