We are looking for a Deputy Production Manager to join us in the Technical and Production Department of the Royal National Theatre.
The Production department is at the heart of the National Theatre, co-ordinating the production process for a diverse programme across our theatres, foyers, and outside spaces.The Production Managers work across all three theatres which brings variety and builds a knowledge base for all the venues.
The Production department is here to work as a team. We have a holistic ethos to our work, leaning on each other to help shoulder the challenges.
You will work with the Production Managers to ensure the smooth delivery of NT productions to the highest standards both at the Southbank site and on tour. Working on projects of all scales, you will ensure best use of the NT's systems and resources for the realisation of the technical elements of allocated shows.
You may be required to “act up as Production Manager as required and when mutually agreed, on projects specifically identified by the Production Managers and Head of Production.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrable Production Management
- Relevant Technical Theatre experience
- Interest in and awareness of the Theatre Green Book
- Proficiency in assessing safety risk and producing paperwork
- Excellent communication skills with both creative and technical teams
