We are looking for a Sound No.1 (Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre)

 

Hadestown, the acclaimed Broadway musical phenomenon by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin made its long-awaited West End premiere in February 2024 at the Lyric Theatre. ‘An epic celebration of music, togetherness and hope’ (Forbes). Hadestown is the winner of 8 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theatre Album.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Extensive operational Sound experience and excellent technical skills, including excellent live mixing skills with a proven track record of dealing with complex radio mic shows

  • Experience with the industry-standard desks (specifically DiGiCo) and software, including Qlab and performer tracking, and radio microphones, in addition to other equipment and software

  • Experience in scheduling and managing a Sound department on a large-scale West End production or equivalent

  • Awareness of current Health & Safety legislation including LOLER, risk assessment and working at height

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead and organise skilled theatre staff, including planning and the organisation of the department to provide the best possible Sound support
