We are looking for an Estates Contracts and Procurement Manager to join the National Theatre Estates Team on a 6 month fixed term contract.
The Estates Contracts and Procurement Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining and monitoring the contracts that sit under the whole of the Estates Team, which includes Facilities and Support Services, ensuring the National Theatre is always achieving the best outcomes from its outsourced services. Across Estates, we have around 53 contracts, with an approximate value of £600k/annum.
The role is directly responsible to, and line managed by the Head of Facilities, but will also be working closely with the other departments that make up the Estates Team, including taking direction from the Director of Estates and including working with the Head of Support Services, to ensure a holistic approach to contract management and procurement across Estates.
As well as setting up and maintaining a Contracts Register for Facilities in the first instance, the Estates Contracts and Procurement Manager will also, working along Heads of Department and Supervisors, be responsible for seeking best service models to suit the departments and the theatre, and best costs from our contractors. When working on tenders and ordering goods and services, the person in this role will be responsible for getting competitive quotes and analysing the markets to ensure the National Theatre is robust in scrutinising its supply chain and achieving best value for money.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role and understanding of contracts and procurement in an Estates function.
- Experience of monitoring contracts to ensure best value for money for the organisation
- Excellent IT skills to be able to maintain electronic records
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and practices and a strong understanding of compliance
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships at all levels in an organisation, including external stakeholders
