We are looking for an Estates Contracts, Compliance and Procurement Manager to join the National Theatre Estates Team.

 

The purpose of the role

The Estates Contracts, Compliance and Procurement Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining and monitoring the contracts that sit under the whole of the Estates Team, which includes Facilities and Support Services, ensuring the National Theatre is always achieving the best outcomes from its outsourced services.  Across Estates, we have around 53 contracts, with an approximate value of £600k/annum.

 

The role is directly responsible to, and line managed by the Head of Facilities, but will also be working closely with the other departments that make up the Estates Team, including working with the Director of Estates and including taking direction from the Head of Support Services, to ensure an holistic approach to compliance, contract management and procurement across Estates.

 

As well as maintaining a compliant set of contracts for Estates, the Estates Contracts, Compliance and Procurement Manager will also be responsible for seeking best service, best practice, and best costs from our contractors. They will also ensure compliance visits take place and are recorded, along with any remedial outcomes and they will use the CAFM system, Concept, to maintain records and improve efficiency and compliance tracking.  A good understanding of any CAFM system will be a great advantage, and a vision to expand and take advantage of its use across the service.  When working on tenders and ordering goods and services, the person in this role will be responsible for getting competitive quotes and analysing the markets to ensure the National Theatre is robust in scrutinising its supply chain and achieving best value for money.

 

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role and understanding of contracts, compliance and procurement in an estates function.
  • Experience of directly managing administration staff.
  • Excellent IT skills to be able to maintain electronic records and compliance date-monitoring; experience of working with a CAFM system.
  • Experience in working with a range of providers of building maintenance and compliance.
  • Experience of dealing with senior leaders, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Experience in managing tenders and developing tender information.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and practices.
