We are looking for a Head of Wardrobe, working within the National Theatre Productions team, to join us in staging the Lehman Trilogy at the Gillian Lynne Theatre.
The Lehman Trilogy is making its triumphant return to London, following an acclaimed season in Los Angeles and a highly lauded run on Broadway.
It won 5 Tony Awards®, including Best Play.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Extensive experience of maintenance wardrobe work and dressing actors on productions of different scale and type. Previous experience and responsibilities on ‘West End’ productions or in a similar professional environment is essential
Excellent sewing skills and working knowledge of theatre costume
To have a flexible approach and be proactive in supporting colleagues and Acting Company and form excellent working relationships. To be able to work calmly under pressure and clearly demonstrate an empathy with the pressures of the backstage performance environment.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead and organise skilled theatre staff, including planning and the organisation of the department to provide the best possible Wardrobe support
Ability to work under minimum supervision and adapt work in accordance with performance requirements
A desire to work in and uphold an actively anti-racist and inclusive working environment.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
