We are looking for a Production Office and Design Studio Manager to join the National Theatre Production and Technical Team.
This is an outward-looking, intuitive role designed to support Director of Production and Technical, the Production Management team and the Design Studio by providing a constant point of reference for this busy department, helping to maintain the department’s communication across the NT and keeping the administrative systems and all departmental information up to date. In this role, good intuition and a strong understanding of the theatre making process is key, as is the ability to pitch in with any day to day help and support where necessary.
It is incumbent on this role to ensure that the Production Office and Design Studio are managed safely and conscientiously with regard to the environment, and to a high standard. The role will also play a key part in developing two Trainee Design Assistants and will prioritise fostering open and trusting relationships across the Production Office and the wider organisation.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Have a demonstrable knowledge of process of delivering professional productions on an artistic and/or technical level.
- Demonstrable line management experience.
- Previous experience of supporting a team or senior leader.
- Dedicated and committed with excellent focus and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks across several projects simultaneously.
- An excellent and confident communicator, who is comfortable working with both creative and technical teams.
