We are looking for a Project Engineer & Energy Manager to join the National Theatre Facilities Team.
The purpose of this role is to plan, co-ordinate and implement a range of capital refurbishment projects at the NT, on budget, schedule and to quality standards which have been agreed with the Deputy Head of Facilities. This will include the development of schemes and presenting options and costs to achieve the most cost-effective solution.
As well as this, you will ensure projects are designed and delivered mindful of the NT’s commitment to reducing its carbon emissions across the organisation and to keep up to date with new technologies in carbon reduction.
Other important purposes include reporting monthly on energy consumption across all NT Sites, developing an excellent relationship with all departments across all NT sites and liaising with NT personnel, contractors and visitors to assist in the smooth running of projects.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A relevant degree or post-graduate professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (HNC or equivalent).
- Relevant experience in a previous role as Project Manager in a building/construction environment managing significant refurbishment programs.
- Experience in using Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Proven experience in liaising with consultants and managing sub-contractors.
- Highly competent in Excel. Compiling reports, logging and interpreting data.
