We are looking for a Resident Choreographer (Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre)

 

Hadestown, the acclaimed Broadway musical phenomenon by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin made its long-awaited West End premiere in February 2024 at the Lyric Theatre. ‘An epic celebration of music, togetherness and hope’ (Forbes). Hadestown is the winner of 8 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theatre Album.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Professional experience in theatre as either a dance captain or choreographer.

  • Knowledge and experience of the working practices of a large-scale West End production

  • Proven ability to closely observe and note performers in rehearsal and performance environments

  • A sensitive approach and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective and supportive working relationships across the full range of individuals

  • Experience with rehearsing in new company members and the teaching of understudy tracks
