We are looking for a Safety Administrator to join the National Theatre Safety Team on a 24 Month Fixed-Term Contract.
The purpose of the role
This is an outward-looking role designed to coordinate the work of the Safety Department by supporting the work of safety advisors as they support the rest of the organisation.
The post will act as the administrative reference/contact point for the Safety Team and will work closely with other Administrators across the organisation.
This role involves administering actions resulting from fire risk assessments, audits, inspections, and strategic and operational meetings. The role holder will support the delivery of the NT’s safety strategy, which includes presenting information, instruction, and training. The role holder will support the prioritisation and management of tasks carried out by the team and may represent the safety team at meetings where safety presence is required.
Although the role holder is not required to hold safety qualifications, there are opportunities for the selected candidate to be given health and safety training to support their work and development.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
Experience in writing and delivering system processes.
Experience of core PA duties such as diary management, note/minute taking and typing.
Experience of the full range of administrative skills including computer literacy in Word, Excel, MS Office and other programmes.
Awareness of Health and Safety Legislation.
