We are looking for a Schools Engagement Project Manager to join the National Theatre Learning (Schools Engagement) Team on a 10 Month Fixed Term Contract.

As one of two Schools Engagement Project Managers, you will work closely with the Head of Schools Engagement, and the rest of the team to devise and lead a diverse, high-quality and inspiring programme of live and digitally delivered activity, exploring all aspects of theatre making and production for schools and teachers working across all educational phases from Primary to Further Education. The programme is inspired by the full range of the NT’s work both on and off stage and involves both NT artists and creative teams and some of the UK’s most exciting theatre makers. This role will manage work at the National Theatre, in London and nationwide.

The role will build strong relationships with schools, education partners and partner theatres to inform the development of the programme and will work closely with the wider Learning team and the NT Digital team on all aspects of the programme’s successful communication, delivery and evaluation.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of English and wider UK primary and secondary education systems, qualifications and alternative provision.
  • Demonstrable project management on large scale arts education projects and  organisational skills with delivery to budget and deadlines.
  • Experience of developing education resources, including digital resources
  • Knowledge of contemporary theatre practice and performance, including work for  young people & new writing
  • Understanding of inclusive practice, participatory work and co-creation in school settings
