We are looking for a Senior Designer to join the National Theatre Creative Studio Team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Working under the direction of the Head of Creative Studio - Design, to create materials for a wide range of National Theatre projects but primarily focused on working on the brand and non-show related design briefs. The Senior Designer will lead on their own brand design projects, originating new ideas and assets, the span of which is extremely broad, including large campaign identities, small bespoke communication print pieces and motion graphics. This role helps set the benchmark for creative thinking and execution, inspiring the other members of the team and demonstrating best practice design skills. This role is for anyone who has a strong background in brand design, enjoys and excels at being hands-on, has a collaborative mind-set and is confident to lead and direct people and projects. The position would suit a seasoned middleweight designer ready to step-up to a senior level, or a current senior designer looking for a chance to expand their creative opportunities.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Extensive experience at middleweight or senior designer level with demonstratable experience either in-house or agency
- Extensive experience of leading and delivering integrated campaigns across print and digital that stretch across still and moving image formats
- Strong understanding of design and brand principles, such as typography, colour, and layout and the ability to develop and demonstrate that they have maintained a consistent brand identity
