We are looking for a Senior Rigging Resources Technician to join the National Theatre Stages Team.
The purpose of the role
Based within the Rigging Resources team, this role works to ensure that lifting equipment, accessories and related equipment comply with relevant legislation and standards. You will have operational responsibility for the inspection, testing and maintenance of equipment and will supervise Technicians undertaking inspection-related activity; this may include working in all three venues and other NT spaces.
You will also be responsible for the storage and asset tracking of equipment, accurately recording its condition and location, and will work closely with other areas within the Stage department and other technical teams to fulfil lifting equipment requests for theatre productions and other events across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Technical operational experience in the entertainment and theatre rigging, or lifting equipment, industries
A good working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation including LOLER
Good organisational skills and able to work calmly under pressure and prioritise conflicting demands
Leadership experience, with the ability to anticipate, influence and accomplish
The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
