We are looking for a Sound and Video Grade 5 Technician to join the National Theatre Sound and Video Team on a 22 Month Fixed Term Contract.

The purpose of the role

We are offering an exciting opportunity to work in a stimulating, dynamic and challenging theatrical environment. This new role provides opportunities for technicians to gain experience and on-the-job training to help them develop a theatre career within their chosen field. You will be assessed at pre-determined intervals during the contract period and should progress to level 3. It is expected that by contract end, you will have received the appropriate training and have the experience to apply for a skilled, professional Theatre Technician job (Grade 4 by NT standards).

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience or training in a similar role, preferably within a similar-sized venue or production company,

  • Basic working knowledge of theatre sound and/or video for production and an understanding of their operation and control systems
