We are looking for a part-time Support Services Operative to join us at the National Theatre.

 

The purpose of the role

 

The purpose of the Support Services Operative role is as follows:

 

*       To receive and distribute mail and small deliveries around the building, and to deliver porterage

*       requests to departments across the NT, including room set-ups and office moves.

*       To carry out daily audits, ensuring the theatre is safe and presentable for customers and staff alike.

*       To work safely and professionally, and to deliver a consistently high service to internal stakeholders, providing clear and timely communication.

*       To provide support to the Support Services team in the day-to-day operations of the department.

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Cooperation and collaboration skills are essential as you will be expected to be aware of the service the whole NT provides and proactively do your part to make it exceptional.
  • Excellent, confident communication skills are essential. You will need the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels to both individuals and large groups and demonstrate a manner that is responsive and engaging.
  • A  good level of computer literacy.
  • The ability to work under front line pressure whilst maintaining a professional approach to always provide an efficient and effective service.
  • To have the ability to handle, carry, stack and store heavy items with care, safety and security is essential, working with minimum supervision.
