We are looking to recruit a Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair and Makeup to join our production of Dear England.
James Graham’s critically acclaimed, sold-out production of Dear England, directed by Rupert Goold, tells the story of the England men’s football team under Gareth Southgate. It will transfer to the Prince Edward Theatre, in London’s West End, from 9 October 2023 for a 14-week run until 13 January 2024.
Key show dates:
— Rehearsals will commence on 11 September 2023 in London
— Tech week will commence w/c 2 October 2023
— First Performance on 9 October 2023
— Opening Night on 19 October 2023
— Final Performance on 13 January 2024

The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience in wigs maintenance, styling, makeup, haircutting, and styling on large-scale West End productions or in a similar professional environment.
- Demonstrable and substantial experience of maintenance and wigs work, and to be a skilled haircutter.
- Confidence and sensitivity of working with different hair types.
- Excellent skills in all aspects of hairdressing, wigs and facial hair making and maintenance, including knotting with a good knowledge and level of technical ability in make-up and associated techniques.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and adapt work in accordance with performance requirements.
