We are looking for a Visitor Engagement & Operations Access Manager to join us at the National Theatre.
We want visitors to experience an exceptional public welcome and a distinctive offer that makes the National Theatre a destination for more than theatre, whilst reflecting the same qualities of excellence and variety seen in the work on the stage.
This role will be responsible for delivering the Front of House aspects of our Access programme. Working closely with the Head of Access and Culture Coordinator, you will oversee the running of all Access performances and Access equipment. They will also be the Front of House champion for Access and ensure all staff are access confident and provide a warm welcome to all deaf, disabled and neurodivergent visitors.
We are looking for applicants with:
- Working knowledge of the social model of disability
- Experience of effectively motivating, leading, and managing high performing operational FOH teams, ideally in a theatre or similar environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate succinctly to both individuals and large groups, at all levels.
- The ability to work under front line pressure whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times
- Financial awareness with the ability to identify fresh commercial opportunities and increase margins in established income streams
