We are looking for Dressers to join the National Theatre for our production of The Motive and the Cue.
Jack Thorne’s critically acclaimed new play, The Motive and the Cue, inspired by the making of Burton and Gielgud’s Hamlet and directed by Sam Mendes, will transfer into the Noël Coward Theatre from 9 December 2023 until 23 March 2024.
Key show dates:
— Rehearsals will commence on 6 November 2023 in London
— Tech week will commence w/c 4 December 2023 in London
— First Performance on 9 December 2023
— Press Night on 18 December 2023
— Final Performance on 23 March 2024

The successful candidate will have the following:
- Accredited training and experience of dressing actors and wardrobe work on professional productions of different scale and type
- To have a flexible approach and be proactive in supporting colleagues and Acting Company and form excellent working relationships.
- To have excellent communication skills and a sensitivity to the needs of others
- To be able to work calmly under pressure and clearly demonstrate an empathy with the pressures of the backstage performance environment, and to have a working knowledge of theatre
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and adapt work in accordance with performance requirements
