We are looking for a Senior Sound and Video Technician (Grade 3B, Sound Specialism)  to join the National Theatre Sound and Video Team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

We are looking for a Sound Technician at Bectu Grade 3B to join our Sound Department on 6-month fixed term contracts, starting late March 2025.

You will work as part of the National Theatre Sound & Video team delivering the highest quality theatre sound across our stages. This role requires professional experience within the theatrical sound environment.

The Sound & Video Senior Technician Grade 3B (Sound Specialism) is ideally suited to someone with significant experience in setting up, running, and monitoring radio mic plots and providing mix cover to productions to the highest standard.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Previous experience as a sound technician within a theatre or other live performance environment.
  • Significant experience of backstage sound craft including radio mic fitting/running and monitoring.
  • Significant experience operating of Digico sound consoles and playback software.
  • Previous experience installing, programming, operating, and supporting complex audio systems and infrastructure.
  • An awareness of video systems in theatre performance.
