We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join the National Theatre Procurement Team.

The National Theatre offers the widest access to high quality theatre to millions of audience members across the UK and around the world every year and this opportunity is an exciting moment for the National as it sets up a Procurement function for the first time. This role will help to develop an industry-leading commercial function that will help to ensure that we can deliver great theatre into the future.

The Procurement Manager will deliver procurement activities across the NT, but with an initial focus on Estates and Capital Projects. In addition, they will work alongside the Head of Procurement to develop policy, process and procedures, build strong relationships across the NT to ensure the new function is embedded.

The team we create won’t be governed by arbitrary rules and inflexible thresholds. Our approach to procurement will be dynamic, pragmatic, fleet of foot and, above all, collaborative. Together, we will ensure that Procurement plays its part in delivering the National Theatre’s core mission: creating world-class theatre that entertains and inspires.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • CIPS qualified/part qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting the design of effective procurement policies and processes that fit with the culture of the organisation.
  • An understanding of contract law and can draft/amend standard terms.
  • Experience in negotiation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
